This issue is not really supported in milestone 2.0.0. It is only possible to ask if the current token is expected to be valid - an automatic renewal of tokens...
The referred issue is just a spell correction in the Readme.md file...? Do you mean: https://github.com/jeyben/IOSLinkedInAPI/pull/70 ?
Actually I haven't given it many thoughts, and don't know the consequences - if such exists. Is it a problem?
My suggestion is to create your own custom formatter for this field
