Yeah fair enough. I'm just expanding my understanding of the library to decide whether to adopt it.

Is this a dead project?

I'm starting to revive this project over at https://github.com/ReCreateJS/txtjs I'm getting a test suite started, and running CI on TravisCI. Help welcome.
