This is probably fall-out from an unrelated issue. I think it's resolved, but I'll do a bit of testing tomorrow.

I'll have a look at the one you linked, though. Don't think I'm familiar with it.
But yīfu and saam1 are written with different characters, so the database lookup would pull the correct colloquial Cantonese, unless I'm missing something?
@ahj10 If you can give a specific example of (a) your input and (b) the expected output, I can write a unit test to make sure it gets fixed.
This seems related to the ongoing gTTS problems. If so, this issue will be consolidated with the gTTS reports and managed as a group.
From memory, there were significant limitations to the built-in Anki config manager. If I could have used it in the manner required at the time, I wouldn't have reinvented the...
