You can disable/change this with the "mask" option when adding new downloads. But yeah, the default behaviour is insane.

Same problem here. I've found a workaround by using "--prefer-free-formats", no postprocessing error.

Your audio is tool long, ~48min it seems. Split the audio in shorter parts so you can process it without memory problems.
