My bad, I forgot I was still on SDL 2.0.14, with 2.0.20 the resize seems to be enough to fix the scale. However there seems to be something weird going...

Did you mean `quic-15` or `draft-15`? Because I did rebase after `draft-15` was merged.
That makes you run in Xwayland. Was the captured application perhaps running in Xwayland too? That would make it just a normal X11 capture.
