It would be appreciated if you stick to CakePHP's naming conventions. The current fields `id` and `version_id` have to be reconsidered. `id` sould be: primary key, a simple "counter" ->...

If one tries to change the author color in Etherpad, it will not be saved. Disabling the plugin lets the user save the color properly.
