Cool, yeah, makes sense. Most panels keep a fairly limited set of data, but the Plot panel currently always keeps an indefinite set. I believe that the rosout panel also...

Currently we don't have an official API for this, so feel free to hack it in for yourself, but just know that right now that's unsupported.
