I upgraded an 8.5 instance (also running on Proxmox) to 9.2 and did not experience this. My VM settings:

Whether we've hit a VMWare bug or not, other appliance vendors somehow manage to offer combined `ova` files that work with VirtualBox, ESXi and Workstation. So this should be possible....

Looks like the latest HAOS 9 `ova` fails to import on Workstation 1**5**.0.3 build-12422535.
