I was able to rectify the error by installing an older firmware.

I found the file [XP7100_YL11M7.zip](https://web.archive.org/web/20250109132611/https://2manuals.com/WIC/rcmode/XP7100_YL11M7.zip). I ran the file EPFWUPD.EXE and followed all the steps until the firmware was successfully uploaded to the printer and then used the tool [reinkpy](https://codeberg.org/atufi/reinkpy/).
