I'm sure you can use gdb or another debugg er to find the excpetion. At least the message of the exception should be provided. Otherwise it will be quite hard...

Doesn't Java 8 have new Apis for working with time and dates, thus making parts of this pr obsolete?

RoboVM never supported Windows. Non iOS targets will probably not be supported since libgdx doesn't target these platforms. And this fork is primarily intended for libgdx developers.
