We had a bit of a discussion about this on Slack already. This needs to be fixed for good as this is only the default but other paths might also...
(Adding quotes works in gitbash but not in rez. I think that they are stripped by rez when sanitizing?)

I like the idea and i think this would work well. The only fear i have is that this can lead to orphaned files and folders from failed builds. Cleaning...
I am flooded with work currently so i am not sure when i can get around to actually do some testing. That said we have been running Rez through batch...
For the record, while starting on this i realised that the current implementation does not support nesting at all. Had not occured to me before which is kind of weird....
While they might be related i think they are separate issues. While the shell history works in pwsh and in Windows Terminal it still breaks in python repl.
My guess is that's because it is a conditional requirement and something likely breaks: `Requires-Dist: tomli (>=1.1.0) ; python_full_version < "3.11.0a7"`
