Yeah, there are a couple of solutions, - Electron (bit hard but can be implemented by someone who has the skills) - PWA (easy and supports everything) - React Native...

I probably have the same issue, I am using parquet, with pyathena. https://github.com/laughingman7743/PyAthena/issues/417 I would be happy to contribute to it if you have something.

Note that this is default behaviour in libs like plotly. Meaning that by default you zoom on both X and Y axis.

Yes I guess that it would be a difficulty introducing any changes in this case, however, things do require progress. Again, that's why I understand it would be a option...
