I'm getting this same issue too
Is it possible to get a dump of the data that was used to seed the site? Might be good to add it to the repo to relieve the burden...
I think having the JSON data available (possibly as a seperate github repo?) should be enough. If other people would like to host the api itself, then you can leave...
