I have updated the README.md file to (hopefully) answer you question.
The script (https://github.com/sxjack/unix_rid_capture/blob/main/scripts/rid2gpx.pl) should be part of the package. You don't need sudo for rid2gpx.pl. You may have to install the perl JSON package. (libjson-perl ?)
Sounds like the ESP32's WiFi stack is sending its own frames. The ESP32_WIFI_OPTION flag controls how the WiFi is opened in id_open_esp32.c and IIRC setting it to 0 is supposed...
My ESP32's are a few years old and are mostly WROOMs and IDF v3. There is another issue that indicates that there are differences between the firmware on the units...
I am not sure that the national settings are worth a lot of effort. I probably should have a #define or two in id_open.h to set them with a default...
I really don't understand how a device like the db122fpv which takes an external GPS feed got on the approved list. It would be pretty easy to have a GPS...
I can't really help you I'm afraid as I don't have that PSU. Do you have specification PMBus_Specification_Part_II_Rev_1_0_20050328.pdf and can you read the text strings?
