I ran into this issue too. The problem is that the scanner needs permission to access bluetooth from Mac OS, but my terminal (in this case, iTerm) wasn't smart enough...
@Atem18 are you planning to submit an updated patch? I didn't want to assume since it's been a few months since this ticket was active.
