Thanks for reporting this issue! We are currently working on updating the pipeline for getting the Workflows schema updated. Expect this later this year.

I've added this issue as a feature request for future consideration.

Looks like #2725 did not resolve this flakiness. @averikitsch let us know if there are any updates on alternative resolutions.

Update: as of right now materialized views still do not support left/right/full outer joins: https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/docs/materialized-views-create#unsupported_sql_features
