Are you even using Wayland?
So because you are using Cinamon, you're propably on x11 by default, you need to switch to Wayland or run waydroid in Weston.

Same here on archlinux with linux-zen kernel. Tried also with linux-xanmod-anbox kernel, that didn't work either.
