There was strong concensus in the [24 Feb 2021 meeting](https://github.com/ircv3/ircv3.github.io/issues/353) that this should definitely be restricted to PMs only, and removed from the roadmap pending further implementation interest.

I'm not sure. This puts a significant burden on clients when interpreting user input and composing a multiline message.

My feeling is that this is implementation dependent. A regular, user facing client would probably not want to interrupt people by automatically reconnecting a connection. They might want to show...
