My co-worker ran the same issue. Remove the colon `:` character from your `client-id`.

Kafka only allows ASCII alphanumerics (and . - _ chars as well) as the `client-id`

Auto-detect and transform the result would be ideal because that means users won't have to change their code at all. 🥇

Not seeing more data with the prettier format. Perhaps a bit more normalized but it looks like the same data structured differently. Either way it will be a breaking change...

The header hasn't changed still `1.0`.

Probably have to sniff the response. Most of the code I've seen look for the existence of `_children`. My convert script also does this.

@pratikdmehta don't forget to add a trailing slash to the `url`. It doesn't call [join](https://www.npmjs.com/package/url-join) to combine the paths.
