FYI, after installing this I had to go into app info and give it full file permissions again. I installed a release build with my local key

Note that many actions operate on the file (file information, for example) and not the text view contents. These implicitly save the file.

We already have a setting to disable the top bar. Problem is that it doesn't work well on many phones (notch etc). Would need to investigate / think about this...

Why not use the auto migration? Seems to be the recommended route: https://developer.android.com/jetpack/androidx/migrate
