I am having the same issue. If I restart multiple times I can get it to work....sometimes. Here is my terminal output.
Note. I downloaded the newest version and tried running again. No joy. Ran it as sudo from command line and that ran. Of course I needed to log in again...but...
Did a full uninstall on my Mac today (including cleaning up all logs, caches, app support, and home folder). Reinstalled with the latest and took about 30 minutes to re-set...
