Having the same problem. @pjaudiomv workaround works but the official documentation doesn't use that syntax so it's confusing. If you don't read the message that says it will replace it...

This was the winning operator for us until we created a POC with argocd and found out about this issue. This is definitely a deal breaker for people doing gitops...
