Same issue. Executors do not support the JAVA_OPTS environment variable but the framework will only launch if JAVA_OPTS is set. So basically this framework doesn't work.

I was able to get around this by mounting the xfs formatted drives under a unique name and then configured the path_constraint in ceph.conf.

Do you have a child in the root of zookeeper called "frameworks"? If not you need to create it.

Yeah, there isn't a great error message around it. Also, the instructions could be updated to reflect this requirement. The video does mention it though.
