I've also found a few links directly on the mobile site (via FaceSlim) that bring up the desktop site, with a banner at the top stating "For a better experience...
That's certainly a possibility, but other Facebook-website-wrapper apps don't have this same problem. I eventually dumped FaceSlim for an alternative app when this issue got no attention.
