Found the issue: looks like I can only use full backup as a start for PITR. Unfortunately in mysql it the backup name for incremental backup has no additional `_D_`...
Im reopening this issue since Im seeing the same issue again. Looks like my assumption earlier about not using delta backup was wrong since i still get the same error...
