The current version often breaks encoding on Windows as the default there is CP-1250 and files are stored in this format

Hi there I have a good use-case for FileChooser which accepts both directory and file (or another X-Chooser as well). A similar feature is implemented in Java https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25666642/jfilechooser-to-pick-a-directory-or-a-single-file Great lib!
