This extension uses the Gnome shell search functions. There are probably gnome extensions that implement web search already. And these should work with search light. I'll try to investigate.
Looks like existing web search providers are not being maintained and may be incompatible with gnome 43. I will consider (investigate) adding custom search into this extension directly.
Blur effect is currently disabled. I've yet to find a google and reliable solution.
I've added an experimental blurred background feature on the development branch. Please help test.

Could you confirm that you can copy character from the overview search.. (without using Search Light). On my Fedora 40 install, there would be a message "character copied successfully". Also...

Could you check the logs - run this on the terminal while using Search Light: ```sh journalctl /usr/bin/gnome-shell -f -o cat ```
