That's wild! When you say "overlay", what sort of overlay is it? Is it another tiled image that's loaded like the base image? Or is it one of the built-in...
Wow, that looks like a bug! To fix it, we will need to pass `loadTilesWithAjax` and `ajaxHeaders` through when creating the navigator here: https://github.com/openseadragon/openseadragon/blob/9b7fc464ca3ae3fdd9f981b64aea5d8348021616/src/viewer.js#L496 ... And probably also call `setAjaxHeaders`...
The `Navigator` is basically a subclass of `Viewer` which is where those functions come from. Do the types reflect that? One option might be to do a `viewer.navigator as Viewer`...
@MWhiteFearless After the failure, how do you add the second image? Looking at the code, it seems like it should be automatically hiding the message whenever you call `open` or...
@MWhiteFearless That looks like exactly it! Looks like it's happening here: https://github.com/openseadragon/openseadragon/blob/9b7fc464ca3ae3fdd9f981b64aea5d8348021616/src/viewer.js#L250 Probably it could just be fixed by bumping up the priority for that handler (by adding `null, 10`...
Oh, good point! I hadn't noticed the fact that they were different events. Thank you @pearcetm for pointing that out! And yes, just a little note on both events' documentation...
Note that there's some related discussion in https://github.com/openseadragon/openseadragon/pull/338.
Yeah, sorry, just figured it was worth making the connection to #338 explicit from this end as well. And yes, draft mode is cool! Same with "fixes" :-)
@msalsbery this is still in draft... how's it coming? Do we still want this in for the 3.0 release?
Sounds good... let me know if you change your mind, or if it ends up turning into a bigger production than expected :)
