Likely Optifine related. Their optimisations have never really been very compatible with Morph or iChunUtil in particular. Try removing Optifine and see if it works.
Closing all issues as iChunUtil is being reintroduced bit by bit in 1.18+, though I'll bear this in mind about stencils - most likely I'll still be using them in...
