You guys can ignore my pushes for a bit. I'm debugging the release pipeline.

I've implemented @Damglador's suggestions and fixed the builds. It looks like I'll have to have the save directory default to somewhere in the sandbox, but things are looking good otherwise!

If this CI run looks good, I'll remove the `flatpak` branch trigger and set this PR as "Ready for review".
