@allenhsu we also had the issue without using `--cleanup`. Are you using a multi-stage build? I believe those do the equivalent of `--cleanup` [between each stage](https://github.com/GoogleContainerTools/kaniko/blob/v1.8.1/pkg/executor/build.go#L713).
