You can use address ranges to segment the memory. You can also use Opal with Samba to provide hints for page allocation.
@Xiaoyang-Lu @amroawad2 We have not officially released Opal but it is passing our nightly tests with the latest master/devel branches.
Hard-coded gcc version; still not fixed. @gvoskuilen @nmhamster Shouldn't assume awk; can we assume sed?
This was fixed-ish (still uses sed to split the version string).

@nmhamster Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge models are in the ariel test folder and have been there since https://github.com/sstsimulator/sst-elements/commit/87130be2c4bd6e3ae5120cf9d847912f7c39a07f. We have a KNL model that we can add.
