Issue is still present in v2022.9.3

I checked against the list here: https://developers.home-assistant.io/docs/core/entity/sensor/#available-device-classes And found the same problem for `device_class: moisture`, `device_class: distance`, `device_class: speed`, `device_class: weight`

I think that an option to "merge across unavailable" would be best. Maybe with an option on max duration of unavailable beyond which the merge would not take place.

@cdk222's use case would not solve @xvolte's problem. That problem is caused by brief periods of unavailability and it makes logbooks very annoying to read. Instead of one long period...

No, Pixel 6 does not have an SD card slot. The Signal app also worked fine for almost 2 years.
