v-model won't set the date inside the date picker input

I tried to set the data model for date-picker but it's not working and I have to show the preset date somewhere else around the input to show to user.

Unexpected closing date picker overlay

In some cases, if you click on select year/month suddenly it closes. I think it's an issue related to click outside the box to close box. EDIT : It's closing...
