Local images are very inconsistent. Try putting your image on an online host and then using it.
Use a PNG or JPEG. GIFS are not supported by the player.
What version of Spotify/Spicetify are you using?
I've been able to replicate this issue with the image linked on the same versions. Additionally the reset button does not appear to work correctly.
Probably related to #70.
