Thanks for the tip, but it seems to not be working anyway. I'm getting it stuck in restarting now: `9eba20998fa0 postgres:9.6 "docker-entrypoint.s…" About a minute ago Restarting (1) 24 seconds...
I removed all containers and the volumes and started from scratch, now it shows all containers as running, but I still get the message "No connection to backend server"
please ignore me, it's working now, I had misunderstood the BACKEND_HOST variable, so setting it to my host made it working.
I'm not using ownphotos any longer and I don't remember, but I think it was just the dns-name of the docker-host.
System.Text.Json is supported for .net fw 4.6.2 up to .net 6 So you mean for those versions there should be an option to use either that or Json.net?
Alright, the tests can use some kind of parameterized test where the input is which serializer to use so we get everything tested twice. Question is what should be used...
Yeah, having subclasses with MSTest is a pain I have experienced it myself firsthand :) Perhaps we can migrate to Xunit for the tests so we easier can have subclasses...
I'm going on vacation tomorrow so I don't think I'll have to much time to look into getting some DI. What made you leave xunit? I have only good experiences...

If you set the loglevel to debug you'll get more details from the authentication checks.
