@rhatdan it seems from @cgwalters's [PR](https://github.com/containers/bootc/pull/215/files#diff-05ff9e7beb634905fa6b0fa65e46a277d22386057040873920da07bc5ff45041R28) in this area, he is going to execute a podman command, so it doesn't seem like socket is necessary.
