You need to follow the upgrade paths within the expo docs https://docs.expo.io/versions/latest/workflow/upgrading-expo-sdk-walkthrough/#sdk-35 You'll almost always notice subtle changes with RN when upgrading so resolve the conflicts before jumping multiple versions.
