Ah, a very good point. I'm using `$HOME`. But this bug also appears with symlinks pointing to dirs inside my home.
Full-speed works fine. I suspect something got screwed up during my experiments. Will do a reboot later and check things again.

I see. I did give the autohinted ones a look, but they're difficult to compare due to the different spacing to my custom ones. I'll stay tuned for that hinting...
I've only encountered this once so far. Not sure what triggers it. I'll try to open a console next time this happens!

Same here. When trying to disable this, the app appears to jitter and even tends to reset some of the settings on its own. Very odd.
