It happened to me today. It turns out that version of the plugin was named using underscores instead of dashes. This works: `/usr/share/elasticsearch/bin/elasticsearch-plugin install --batch https://d3g5vo6xdbdb9a.cloudfront.net/downloads/elasticsearch-plugins/opendistro-index-management/opendistro_index_management-1.12.0.1.zip`
