This is more of a question than an issue, really. Why not just export the sensu-community-plugins, rather than roll your own into files/default/plugins? I'm in the process of modifying this...

I needed to add route53:GetChange to the IAM policy described on this page.

It would be awesome if sensu's admin interface, or its dashboard (whatever) could display the metrics data it gathers from checks

If you examine most other monitoring packages out there, you get a comprehensive listing of all the checks for a particular host, and you don't have do tie it all...
