This is a interesting issue. My first guess is that Github is loading the lower half of the page with JavaScript and not changing the upper half of the page....

It makes the installation easier, and can be used with `use-package` which is nice. Would you consider supporting https://github.com/quelpa/quelpa#by-recipe instead?
