Yeah the Wii U darkens the screen normally after a period of inactivity. Apparently inputs from a DS3 (mapped to pro slot 1) do not reset this timer.
That's an acceptable workaround. Still, I feel like this should be fixable.

Yes that one change that I mentioned above was the only breaking change I could find, but my testing has not been extensive.
That fix also worked for me.
I should note that I do have `AllowOutboundLocalHost 1` set. Setting it to `2` did not appear to help, but this is tricky to debug because I lose a little...

Angular provides the [`SwUpdate`](https://angular.io/api/service-worker/SwUpdate) service for this functionality. Its interface looks pretty good; it is likely sufficient to be directly called from the component.
