We could not reproduce this yet. Please note that the open-in-browser feature only works if the file has been saved with .html extension.
I noticed other editors do this automatically when you press cmd+F while some text is selected. Might be a nice convenience feature.

I think macOS Monterey had some memory issues in the initial release. Do you also have this issue on macOS 12.1? (I can't reproduce it on 12.1)
I also just noticed the crash today on Ventura. But even when I run it from XCode, I don't get any valuable breakpoint. I have no idea where it crashes....
