libgraspit.so undefined reference

Hello, I was working through the instructions of installing GraspIt! but I am now stumped on this problem after running make -j5:

libgraspit.so: undefined reference to `SoInput::setBuffer(void*, unsigned long)'

Does anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this problem?
