From what you provide it's not very clear what the problem is, you need to investigate more i think.

Everything is built using Docker images

You need to enable the pragma, then you can `SELECT load_extension("extension-functions");`

You will need to perform some investigation to find out where this is coming from. Every 1s seems to be a bit much.
