Thank you for your help. It seems that they have removed this functionality, I will continue investigating. In homebridge the switch still appears 
I just updated to release version 3.1.0 and I had the same behavior you describe @justdun . I had to redo many automations and change names for more than 90...
I tried today with new installation of HB, (1.7 and node v18.19.0) and got the same error
