Was for me on Gnome 3.38 Now working on Gnome 40 with webm and mkv format, and freezes on mp4.
Commit this issue. The extension doesn't work correct with dinamic wallpaper changers. By the way i use "Bing wallpaper changer" Fedora 29, Gnome 3.30
