I'm having the same issue.

I think you should have used `onLeave` instead of `hideaxisval`? It calls `hideaxisval` and also removes the black geographical outline.

Was the removal of `button` unrelated?

Oh maybe each hover over a different area is a new unique hover in the analytics... in which case this kind of mechanic might be necessary to understand how many...
