Update: the GCT part cannot be sourced by JLCPCB. Will have to change the design to work with an existing part Female: - GT-USB-7013M https://jlcpcb.com/partdetail/gswitch-GT_USB7013M/C963369 5A, 24P, 24VDC - Molex...

Ordered GCT parts through JLCPCB's global sourcing. ETA May 23. In the meantime, I may try using the dg-switch and lian-xintech parts but it would require a redesign :/ ---...

First test board arrived and it works (mostly) * Lights up correctly, shows up in device manager * Ethernet works albeit slightly slower than expected * Audio device shows up...

https://resources.pcb.cadence.com/blog/2024-impedance-matching-for-usb-interfaces-in-pcbs For increasing the differential impedance, it's also possible to crosshatch the gnd plane to increase the effective epsilon. This would increase the diff impedance in the case of the...

not sure how to calculate the impedance over a crosshatch gnd plane w/o either paying money or a ton of work. it looks like pcbway has controlled impedance on flex...

> Sorry, I'm a newbie. How does the schematic work - do TX pins connect to corresponding TX pins or RX pins on the schematic (e.g. does TX1+ on J1...

I don't think so unfortunately. I'd really like to have an open network for this use case.
